Light– A clear wax that maintains the existing, natural colour of the wood without changing the colour too much. This is ideal if you want to show the grain without darkening the wood. By not using ‘mass manufactured perfectly straight timber’, unevenness is to be expected, so your wooden tops may not have completely flat surfaces and there may be slight gaps visible in between the timber joins. Our beautifully handcrafted Triangle Base reclaimed wood bench combines characterful reclaimed and rustic wood with an industrial style steel frame to create statement pieces of furniture. Rugger Brown – This is a tone of brown mainly used on hardwoods such as Oak and Walnut but is also a good alternative on Elm and Pine woods for a slightly darker shade. Driftwood- typically a darker version of our Light Driftwood finish with a mix of natural wood tones and some similarities to a pine-coloured wood.

Several coats may be added as the Wax provides a depth of finish that revives and protects any original patina of your wood. Fiddes Supreme Wax is almost odour free, applies easily and once polished to the desired sheen level, gives a depth of finish that revives and protects any original shiny surface while preserving the patina. The Clear / Light variant is suitable for use as a final finish after using Fiddes Liming Wax. Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the tin at all times. Next using very fine 0000 wire wool, or buffing cloth apply Fiddes Supreme Wax Polish in the direction of the grain onto the surface and remove any excess.Light Driftwood- a light, natural clear colour. Similar to a pine colour bringing out the natural colour and features of the timber. Take a clean cotton cloth, sponge or brush and apply in the direction of the wood grain where possible. To obtain a uniform colour, always wipe evenly, blending the Supreme Wax over the whole surface area by exerting a small degree of pressure when applying by hand. Take care to lightly remove any excess Supreme Wax immediately with a separate, clean absorbent cloth, again following the direction of the grain pattern.

The furniture is typically delivered unassembled to aid with access to properties. Instructions are provided for ease of self-assembly. Screwing bases to the timber tops is typically all that is needed. A suitable power driver/drill will be required. On bare or stripped woods, Sand the surface to a smooth finish in the direction of the grain. Stain the wood if necessary. On open grained woods, you can stain and seal using a Shellac Sealer, but this is optional. Apply the Supreme wax using very fine 0000 wire wool or buffing cloth in the direction of the grain and allow soaking into the wood. Remove any excess and then once dry, buff to the desired sheen level. Several coats may be added to build further sheen and protection. This can be used on all bare interior woods or furniture. With hundreds of products on the market, it can be hard to know where to start when looking for a wax to use on your dining table. Surfaces treated with Fiddes Supreme Wax Polish can be dry wiped with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove surface dust. For minor surface stains, scuffs and marks, wipe with a slightly dampened (not wet) cloth with water and Fiddes Floor Surface Cleaner.When maintaining pre-waxed wood it is advisable to use a clear wax (Fiddes have a very lightly tinted wax called 'Light' for paler, wood coloured surfaces and a wax with no pigment at all called 'Clear' for painted surfaces or for surfaces which require no colour change). Additional coats offer an improved patina and overall durability. Fresh wax coats can be applied annually or as required. Repair The application of additional coats will deepen the existing colour / shade and significantly enhance the resulting sheen level. Solid Oak Mantle Beams are hand carved, sanded and ready to fit with a colour finish of your choice. Choose a solid oak mantel to finish the contemporary or traditional look of your fireplace. Application can be by cloth, brush or sponge. If applying to an open grained bare wood it would be best to apply a coat of Shellac Sanding Sealer first to provide a base for a more consistent and resilient finish. After application, allow to dry for about 3 minutes before buffing with a soft cloth. For larger areas a drill buffing brush can be used. Applying additional coats will deepen the existing colour or shade and significantly enhance the resulting sheen level. Sand in stages, starting with a medium sandpaper through to a medium/fine grade, following the direction of the grain. Apply the product with even pressure using a cotton cloth, brush or sponge, again following the grain. Lightly wipe with a clean cloth to remove excess polish. Allow to dry and buff to your desired level of sheen with a soft cloth. We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. For best results, we recommend cleaning the surface first using Priory Polish Reviver using very fine wire wool. This will remove the dirt, grease ready for treatment of the wax finish. This will also give you the best sheen and add to the depth of the colour and finish. Cherry – This is a warm shade ideal for use on Mahogany, Rosewood, Cherry or any wood that needs a warm red rich finish.

Made from the highest quality Kiln dried European Oak which contains fewer knots or sap which cheaper picture ledges on the market often use. Light Brown – Mainly used on lighter timbers that you want to add a subtle shade and warmth to the grain of the wood.Apply the wax using very fine 0000 wire wool or buffing cloth in the direction of the grain and allow soaking into the wood. Antique Brown – This is very popular on new woods as it produces a light honey brown shade, offering a slightly antique look.
