I like this setup; it really does feel like Inuyasha! But in a different way, a good way, really!! I found the spider family arc so so creepy yet so... humanizing? I think everyone's attitude towards demons are going to shift. That's actually really exciting!!

It’s charming, for sure. I just wish I had came across this earlier in my otaku career. A good description of this would be “bland but trying not be.”Synopsis: Tanjiro and Nezuko cross paths with two powerful Demons that fight with magical weapons. Even help from Tamayo and Yushiro may not be enough to defeat these Demons who claim to be a part of the Twelve Demon Moons that directly serve Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon responsible for all of Tanjiro's woes! But, if these Demons can be defeated, what secrets can they reveal about Muzan? I've seen the anime, and it is indeed and visual and auditory feast. However, there's a lot of nuances in the manga that don't carry over to the screen. For example, I've always thought Tanjiro suffered from survivor's guilt. It's pretty subtle but it is implied. Coupled with their sibling bond, that's why Tanjiro will never let go of Nezuko until he's found the cure to her demon nature. It stems from being the only sibling away from home when a demon killed all of his family and infected Nezuko. I finally gave in to the hype and read Demon Slayer! It’s actually really good!! Gives me InuYasha vibes; this is going to be a classic anime/manga for future generations. So far I really love it. I like that it’s creepy and violent and I adore Tanjiro’s kindness in the face of demons. Not my favourite manga,but it's certainly up in the top 5 without a doubt. I chose to read this as I was struggling with the anime but could tell there was a story there that I would enjoy.

Demon Slayer is amazing for adults. The storyline is brilliant. Everything is well thought out and detailed. The characters are well developed and you develop emotional attachment to them. There is a lot of Japanese culture in the series and the animation is beautiful at times. The series explores what it means to be human and the different personalities in our world. It gets pretty deep. Giyu heads north to an area where a band of hunters was killed. He and the Insect Hashira meet Yae, the daughter of a slain hunter, who believes a bear killed her father, but the truth is harder to face. Kyojuro also receives his newest assignment and hopes completing it will prove he's worthy of the title Flame Hashira, which his father abandoned. An explosive battle unfolds as Kyojuro takes on a demon of the Twelve Kizuki who holds a grudge against Kyojuro's father.

What To Read Next

Demon Slayer has lots of scary imagery, since it's about. And, even some of the situations the characters are in can frighten some viewers, such as the main character's family being slaughtered by the hands of a demon lord. I'm pretty sure there is some alcohol references, but I'm not sure. There is a lot of blood and a little bit of gore, usually when they chop off a demon's head. There is a few characters (Zenitsu, Tengen) who love women a lot but don't say anything too explicit. There is also a girl who wears something revealing (Mitsuri), but she is not sexualized. Demon Slayer has some good morals, such as moving on and never giving up. Unlike some anime, this has a good message!
