Retrieved September 20, 2019. In December 2020, Marvel Studios announced Armor Wars as a Disney+ series based on the comic book storyline of the same name, with Don Cheadle reprising his role as James Rhodes / War Machine. [115] In August 2021, Yassir Lester was hired as the series' head writer. [116] In September 2022, Marvel Studios decided to rework the series into a feature film, with Cheadle and Lester remaining with the project. [107] Filming was expected to begin in early 2023, [107] [117] at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. [118] Giant-Size X-Men #1, X-Men #94–102, Amazing Fantasy #15, The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #1–9, Daredevil Vol. 1 #1–10, Hulk #1–6, Tales to Astonish #60–63, Fantastic Four Vol. 1 #1–10, Tales of Suspense #59–68, The Avengers Vol. 1 #1–10, Tales to Astonish #70–79, Tales of Suspense #39–48, Silver Surfer Vol. 1 #1–10 How It Fits in the MCU: Cheadle, of course, has played Rhodey since Iron Man 2 and survived terrible color schemes for his armor, the crushing of his legs, being replaced by a Skrull, and the Blip. So he’s well-placed to defend Tony’s technology. Also, we can’t help but think Ironheart will show up to offer him some aid. Couch, Aaron (February 17, 2023). Inhumans: In April 2013, Feige mentioned the Inhumans as a property out of which he was "confident" a film would be made. [389] Inhumans as a concept would first be introduced to the MCU in 2014 through the second season of the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. [390] By August 2014, the studio was ready to move forward in development with the film, with a screenplay written by Joe Robert Cole. [391] In October 2014, the film was announced for Phase Three [8] and scheduled for release July 2019. [392] By October 2015, Cole was no longer involved with the film and any potential drafts that he may have written would not be used. [393] In April 2016, Inhumans was removed from the release schedule, [394] and would no longer be a part of Phase Three. [395] In July 2016, Feige said Inhumans would "certainly" be a part of the discussion regarding the film ideas for 2020 and 2021, [396] adding the following November that he was still optimistic the film could be released in Phase Four. [397] In November 2016, Marvel Television announced the series Marvel's Inhumans, which premiered on ABC in September 2017, after the first two episodes were screened in IMAX. [398] The series was not intended to be a reworking of the film. [399] ABC canceled Inhumans after one season in May 2018. [400] How It Fits in the MCU: The Fantastic Four bring with them a surprisingly robust rouges gallery. To be honest, we’re a little more excited to see Doctor Doom, Annihilus, and Galactus make their MCU introductions than the Richards clan – although, Kang’s involvement in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania means the family will ultimately be important. And now that we know this is the Multiverse Saga, we have to wonder if the film (and the bulk of the Phase 6 films) will take place outside the MCU. Villei, Matt (May 4, 2022). As revealed at the SDCC 2022 presentation, Phase Six begins with Fantastic Four and concludes with a two-part Avengers film series sprwaling into 2027. Considering it will be the culmination of the Multiverse Saga, we expect some of these films will takes place in other realties than the prime MCU. Also, considering how full the calendar is already, there may only be two additional films — and possibily a fourth Spider-Man— announced, developed, and released before the saga ends. How It Fits in the MCU: Echo’s story continues on from the events of Hawkeye and, perhaps, straight into the designs of Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine ( Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Echo’s mimicry sure seems like an asset she would want for her team. Also, considering the way she parted ways with her uncle, Wilson Fisk (D’Onofrio), it is a guarantee he will reappear in her life. In the comics, the character has appeared alongside Moon Knight and Daredevil, so her crossover potential is also pretty endless.
