Description

It’s thick and creamy so it won’t drip initially, but it changes texture when you smooth it between your fingers and goes quite wet and oily so it’s easier to apply and rub in gently to your face.

I wouldn't have chosen it for myself, Camomile in any form (especially tea) does nothing for me and though I do love a balm cleanser, this sat unlooked at in my skincare stash for quite a while. The film effect is less pronounced after I use a cloth to wipe off, but definitely rinsing just isn’t enough.

All this because I wanted to read a book the other night but got caught up reading your blog instead. I do try to keep negative reviews to a minimum, there are lots of things I've tried out and not featured here, what doesn't work on me may be great on someone else so I'd rather just not include it on the blog. I started out using the Antipodes Grapeseed Butter Cleanser which I loved, and have incidentally finished and scraped clean, so it was time I experimented with another. It does smell nice but the problem is that it oxidizes on air exposure and the resulting stuff is not good for the skin.

Even when I do use a face cloth, after going over my skin a few times with the cloth, and then rinsing it, I still find that there is a film on my skin. I’m not a big user of micellar waters, but many affordable brands (Simple, Garnier, everybody in France) do them well. It has quite a solid appearance in the tin - almost like hard candle wax or a slice of lard (anyone remember Trex? If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag.

Out of all these butters, I’d only recommend Eve Lom, Clinique and, surprisingly, Lush, as they’re the only ones who don’t contain parfum and declarable fragrance components.

I would definitely recommend the cleansing butter, it removed my make up with ease and left my skin feeling really soft and smooth without any visible dry patches, which when your skin is as dry as mine is at the moment is brilliant, as I said my skin is very dry and it is also dehydrated but the cleansing butter is suitable for all skin types. But that’s actually not the real problem; I am fairly acne-prone and have used this butter for two years without any incidents — no, the real problem comes in the form of parfum, linalool, and limonene. I think a combination of that and the filmy residue (even after double cleansing with foaming face wash + face cloth) congested my face and gave me breakouts. The same makeup removing formula as the classic Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, this limited edition is here to switch up your routine with the fresh, delicate scent of Japanese Tsubaki camellia flowers! When massaged into dry skin, it melts away make-up with unparalleled ease and feels sumptuous and richly hydrating without being too heavy.Personally, I think if you have skin that is prone to clogging or acne, I don’t think this is the best product for you. If I had a pound for every time I was asked what my desert-island beauty product is, I'd be a rich woman.
